DataBaste ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App").

We believe your recipe collection is personal, and we've built DataBaste to keep it that way.

DataBaste is designed as a privacy-first application. We do not:

• Require you to create an account
• Collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers
• Track your location
• Access your contacts or other personal data
• Sell or share any data with third parties
• Display advertisements
• Use tracking or analytics cookies

Data Storage

Local Storage

All your recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up or share it.

iCloud Backup (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud backup within the App, your data will be stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:

• Encrypted by Apple
• Accessible only to you through your Apple ID
• Subject to Apple's privacy policy and terms
• Not accessible to DataBaste or its developers

AI Features

Recipe Generation

When you use AI-powered features like recipe generation, the following applies:

• Your prompts and preferences are sent to our AI service provider to generate recipes
• We do not store your prompts or the generated content on our servers
• Generated recipes are stored only on your local device
• No personal information is included in AI requests

Recipe Import

When you import recipes via URL or image:

• The URL or image may be processed by external services to extract recipe data
• Extracted recipe content is stored only on your local device
• We do not retain copies of imported content

Camera and Photo Access

DataBaste may request access to your camera or photo library to:

• Scan handwritten recipe cards
• Add photos to your recipes

Photos are processed locally on your device and stored only within the App's local storage. We do not upload your photos to any server.

Third-Party Services

DataBaste may integrate with the following services:

• Apple Services: For iCloud backup, HealthKit integration (if applicable), and App Store functionality
• AI Service Providers: For recipe generation and content analysis features

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

Children's Privacy

DataBaste is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

• It is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• iCloud backups are encrypted using Apple's security infrastructure
• We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the App
• Export: You can export your recipes at any time
• Delete: You can delete individual recipes or all data by removing the App
• Backup Control: You control whether to enable or disable iCloud backup

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or on our website. Your continued use of DataBaste after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
